Melamchi pipeline installation gains.

KATHMANDU - The establishment of the drinking water pipeline in Kathmandu Valley under Melamchi Drinking Water Project is advancing in speed. The Melamchi Drinking Water Project –2 Implementation Directorate is introducing the pipelines in 50 areas for each day. Directorate's Manager Nanda Bahadur Khanal said they have as of now introduced 530 km channels of the aggregate of 670 km pipes as a feature of the venture. The pipe establishment works are as of now occurring at Naya Sadak, Naya Baneshwor, Thamel, Mangal Bazaar and along the banks of the Bagmati stream, as per the Directorate which additionally expressed that works have recently begun in Khusibu, Kalimati, Balkhu and Kuleshwor. The water from Melamchi will be diverted to Sundarijal where it will be handled before being disseminated to 11 noteworthy tanks inside the valley and provided to each family unit.
