Veteran actor Om Puri passes away
Veteran performing artist Om Puri passed away in Mumbai on Thursday evening. He was 66. Movie producer Ashoke Pandit, who was a dear companion of the on-screen character, initially affirmed the pitiful news of his destruction on Twitter. Puri returned home last night after a shoot. Supposedly his entryway ringer went unanswered on Friday morning, taking after which his driver raised an alarm.The Padma Shri awardee, learned at the Film and Television Institute of India and at the National School of Drama, where Naseeruddin Shah was his colleague. Conceived on October 18, 1950, hailing from Ambala in Haryana, Om Puri made his film make a big appearance in 1976 with the Marathi film 'Ghashiram Kotwal'. A widely praised on-screen character, Puri included in movies like 'Ardh Satya', 'Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron' and 'Mirch Masala'. All the more as of late, he was found in the films, 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' and 'Ghayal Once Again'.
